President Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party, they not only have a long-term vision but they have a roadmap, a very practical achievable roadmap. And President Xi Jinping’s idea of a modern socialist nation by 2050, it shows that China has the ability and the willingness to think very long-term and achieve those long-term goals with specific steps of implementation. And the achievement of these goals is important not only for China. They have great significance for the entire world.

Two steps approach is very important for China and for the rest of the world and the difference between China and many other countries around the globe is that the leadership provided really a long-term vision towards the development of the country.

This is absolutely key and this is not short-termism, which many countries around the world are seeking. They can't formulate long-term plans because the politics in some parts of the world are related to populism, short-termism, and ignorance of others. So what Xi Jinping proposed in Congress and Congress supported is that let's go to the two stages processes and let's put some important marks to achieve absolutely important points during this development periods.

中欧论坛创始人高大伟说，显然中国会实现发展目标，而这将改变全世界。

更值得关注的是中国共产党放眼长远的能力。而这正是中国的制度优势，因为习近平划定的是2050年的目标。中国共产党可以通过设定2050年的目标来动员一个拥有14亿人口的国家，这非常非常强大。

What is even more remarkable is the capacity to think in a long-term. And this is a strength of China, because what Xi Jinping said, basically did, he set the horizon, 2050 horizon. So you can mobilize a country of 1.4 billion people by setting the horizon. And this is very very powerful.

只有中国，才可能为自己设定这样一个明确清晰的愿景，这得益于中国的治理，也得益于中国共产党的执政方式。我对此充满信心，显然中国会实现这一目标，它将改变全世界。

I think only China, because of the Chinese governance, because of the way the Chinese Communist Party works, only China can set for itself such a clear vision. And I am optimistic, clearly China is going to make it, and it is going to change the world.
